Job Summary
The
Kitchen Supervisor - Catering & Event Management
is responsible for supervising day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring timely food preparation for events, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and coordinating with chefs, operations, and service teams to deliver seamless event catering.
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Operations & Food Production
Supervise
food preparation, cooking, and plating
for events and bulk catering
Ensure food is prepared as per
menu, recipes, and quality standards
Monitor cooking schedules to meet event timelines and service requirements
Event Coordination
Coordinate with
event operations and service teams
for food dispatch and setup
Ensure correct quantities are prepared as per guest count and event requirements
Oversee packing, transportation, and live-counter readiness for events
Staff Supervision & Training
Supervise kitchen staff, cooks, helpers, and cleaners
Allocate duties and monitor productivity and discipline
Train staff on food safety, hygiene, and standard operating procedures
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to
food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
Follow health, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor
raw material usage
, portion control, and wastage
Assist in inventory checks and requisition of ingredients
Support cost control and minimize food loss during production
Equipment & Maintenance
Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs when required
Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Catering
Proven experience as a
Kitchen Supervisor or Senior Cook
in catering/events
Strong knowledge of
bulk cooking and event food production
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen safety practices
Leadership and team management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Attributes
Experience handling
large-scale events, weddings, or corporate catering
Knowledge of multiple cuisines (Indian / Continental / Live Counters - advantage)
Flexible to work long hours, weekends, and event days
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹22,000.35 - ₹25,000.07 per month
