Job Title: Tandoor Helper

Location: Cafe Khoblu

Reporting To: Tandoor Chef / Head Chef

Role Overview

Support the Tandoor Chef in daily tandoor operations and food preparation
Assist in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and smooth workflow in the tandoor section
Ensure timely preparation and service support during operating hours
Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation Support

Assist in preparing dough, marinades, batters, and basic prep for tandoor items
Wash, clean, cut, and skewer vegetables or other ingredients as instructed
Keep mise en place ready and refilled during service
Support plating and dispatch under supervision
2. Tandoor Operations Assistance

Assist the Tandoor Chef during service hours
Help manage bread dispatch and grilled item support
Step in to support other kitchen sections when instructed
Follow opening and closing procedures for the tandoor area
3. Cleaning, Hygiene, and Safety

Clean tandoor tools, skewers, trays, and work surfaces
Maintain cleanliness of the tandoor area, floors, and surrounding equipment
Follow personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards
Adhere strictly to FSSAI food safety and hygiene norms
Handle hot equipment, fuel, and tools carefully
4. Inventory and Stock Support

Assist in proper storage of dough, marinades, and raw materials
Follow FIFO and labelling practices
Inform the chef about low stock, spoilage, or wastage
5. Equipment and Safety Support

Help in safe handling of gas lines, fuel, and tandoor equipment
Report equipment damage, gas smell, or safety risks immediately
Support daily cleaning and basic maintenance of the tandoor
6. Discipline and Teamwork

Follow instructions from the Tandoor Chef and Head Chef
Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professionalism
Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff
Respect kitchen hierarchy and operational protocols
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
