Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and cutting meat
Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, and food storage areas
Assist with unloading and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety regulations
Dispose of garbage and organize recycling
Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors
Support cooking staff during peak hours or busy service times
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is an asset, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods
Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs
Team player with good communication skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
