Job Description

Assisting chefs and cooks:

Kitchen helpers support the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients for cooking, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits.

Preparing simple dishes:

They may also be involved in preparing simple dishes like salads, sauces, and desserts.

Portioning and wrapping food:

Some kitchen helpers assist with portioning and wrapping food items or dishes.
Cleaning and Sanitation:

This is a core responsibility, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Maintaining cleanliness:

They ensure that work areas, floors, and surfaces are clean and hygienic.

Disposing of waste:

Kitchen helpers also dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials.
Organization and Stocking:

Organizing supplies:

They organize and stock kitchen supplies and ingredients.

Storing food:

They help with the proper storage of food items in refrigerators, freezers, and other designated areas.

Assisting with deliveries:

Kitchen helpers may also assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
