Job Title: Indian Kitchen Helper

Location: Cafe Khoblu

Reporting To: Indian Chef / Head Chef

Role Overview

Support the Indian Chef in daily food preparation and kitchen operations
Assist in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth workflow in the Indian kitchen section
Ensure timely prep and service support during operational hours
Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation Support

Assist in cutting, chopping, peeling, washing, and prepping vegetables and raw materials
Help in preparing basic gravies, masalas, dough, batters, and accompaniments as instructed
Support plating and service during peak hours
Carry out basic cooking tasks under supervision
2. Kitchen Operations and Assistance

Assist the Indian Chef during service hours
Refill mise en place and ensure workstation readiness
Support other kitchen sections during rush or staff shortages when instructed
Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures
3. Cleaning and Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, equipment, and floors
Follow daily cleaning checklists and waste disposal procedures
Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards
Follow FSSAI food safety and hygiene guidelines
4. Inventory and Stock Support

Assist in storing raw materials properly as per FIFO and labelling norms
Inform the chef immediately about low stock or spoilage
Help in minimising wastage through careful handling of ingredients
5. Equipment and Safety

Use kitchen tools and equipment safely
Report damaged equipment, utensils, or safety hazards immediately
Follow safe kitchen practices at all times
6. Discipline and Teamwork

Follow instructions from the Indian Chef and Head Chef
Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professionalism
Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff
Respect kitchen hierarchy and operational protocols
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
