Here\'s a general overview of what you\'ll be doing:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a smile and take orders (may or may not involve operating a cash register).
- Prepare and serve beverages (coffee, tea, etc.)
- Package food items for takeout.
- Ensure the dining area is clean and tidy by clearing tables and restocking condiments.
- Food and Beverage Preparation:
- (Depending on the cafe) Assist with basic food prep tasks like chopping vegetables, stocking ingredients, and preparing salads.
- Operate beverage machines (coffee grinders, espresso machines) and ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by wiping down tables, counters, and equipment.
- Wash dishes and utensils (may involve using a dishwasher).
- Take out trash and recycling.
- Has a positive and friendly attitude.
- Is a team player who can work well under pressure.
- Is able to learn quickly and follow instructions.
- Has a strong work ethic and is reliable.
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
- (For some cafes) Has experience handling cash.
- Experience working in a cafe or restaurant environment.
