We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Kindergarten Co-Ordinator to lead and oversee early childhood education programs within our vibrant school community. This role is dedicated to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and academically enriching environment for young learners. As the Kindergarten Co-Ordinator, you will coordinate curriculum development, mentor teaching staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality education aligned with best practices in early childhood development. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and regularly review comprehensive kindergarten curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
Lead classroom management initiatives to promote respectful behavior, engagement, and a safe learning environment for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention support.
Mentor and support teaching staff through coaching, classroom observations, and professional development opportunities focused on early childhood education techniques such as Montessori or behavior management strategies.
Coordinate lesson planning efforts ensuring activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with educational standards and standardized testing requirements.
Oversee curriculum integration of learning technology tools to enhance interactive learning experiences for young children.
Facilitate communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and curriculum updates to foster strong home-school partnerships.
Manage classroom resources effectively, including library services and educational materials, ensuring they meet the needs of all learners.
Support inclusive education practices by working with children with autism or other special needs through tailored interventions and collaborative planning.
Assist in administrative tasks such as proofreading educational materials, maintaining documentation for accreditation purposes, and supporting school-wide educational initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or a related field; advanced certifications such as Montessori training or special education credentials are highly desirable.
Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings; prior private school experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies and behavior management techniques tailored to early learners.
Demonstrated ability in curriculum development across literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional domains.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and external partners effectively.
Proficiency in learning technology tools and familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood programs.
Experience working with children with diverse needs including those requiring special education or autism support.
