Job Description

A KG (Kindergarten) Teacher involves planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans to teach foundational literacy and numeracy skills, while fostering social development and a positive classroom environment. Responsibilities include creating a safe learning space, assessing student progress, collaborating with parents, and managing classroom activities and resources. Key qualifications are typically a Bachelor's degree in education, state certification, and strong communication, organizational, and patience skills. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

Design and deliver engaging lessons for basic subjects like math, science, and reading, using creative, hands-on teaching methods.

Social-Emotional Learning:

Teach children good manners, discipline, and social skills to prepare them for future educational experiences.

Classroom Management:

Establish a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment, enforce rules, and manage student behavior.

Student Assessment:

Monitor children's performance and progress, conduct evaluations, and record their development to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Parent Communication:

Collaborate with parents to provide feedback on their child's progress and set goals for their development.

Safety and Supervision:

Ensure the well-being of students and supervise them in and out of the classroom, such as during lunchtime and recess.
Key Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is typically required.

Certification:

State-issued teaching certification or licensure in early childhood education may be necessary.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching or working with young children in an educational setting is often preferred.

Skills:

Strong organizational and classroom management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Patience, empathy, and excellent listening skills. Creative teaching abilities. Strong knowledge of child development principles.
