About the Role
We are building a high-precision sheet-metal facility focused on EV components, Energy enclosures, Industrial structures, Defence assemblies, and Semiconductor machine sub-parts.
We need a sales professional who already understands:laser + bending + fabrication
welding assemblies
powder coating + finishing
industrial enclosures
EV brackets / battery housings / inverter cabinets
Defence-grade sheet-metal requirements
This role owns
new business development
,
customer relationship management
, and
revenue growth
for the SPV.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Customer Acquisition (Primary Role)
Identify and acquire customers in EV, Energy, Infra, Defence, and Automation sectors.
Target OEMs, Tier-1s, and system integrators across South India.
Generate RFQs and convert them into purchase orders.
2. Account Management
Maintain strong relationships with purchase heads, vendor development teams, and plant managers.
Understand customer requirements, material specs, and finishing expectations.
Regular follow-ups for repeat business.
3. Technical Understanding (Mandatory)
Ability to read drawings (2D/3D).
Understanding of tolerances, GD&T, welding standards, and sheet thickness selection.
Coordinate with engineering for feasibility, costing, and DFM suggestions.
4. Coordination With Internal Teams
Work closely with production, planning, costing, and quality teams.
Ensure smooth execution from RFQ PO Production Dispatch.
Track customer approvals, vendor portal documentation, and audits.
5. Sales Reporting
Weekly sales pipeline updates.
Revenue forecasting and conversion ratio tracking.
Competitor and market intelligence.
Target Customer Segments
Candidate should ideally have connections in:
EV OEMs & Tier-1s
Power electronics (UPS, inverter, battery storage)
Solar EPC & wind OEMs
Industrial machinery OEMs
Defence & aerospace fabrication buyers
Automotive fabrication units
Semiconductor equipment integrators
Robotics/automation integrators
Experience Level
4 to 10 years in B2B sheet-metal / fabrication / enclosures sales
Strong contacts in purchase & vendor development
Proven track record of converting RFQs to orders
Skills Required
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Technical understanding of fabrication
High ownership and field travel mindset
Ability to close business without long follow-ups
