to oversee a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) and ensure the successful management and growth of our strategic customer relationships. This individual will be responsible for mentoring the KAM team, directly engaging with high-value clients, and conducting on-site visits for canvassing, relationship-building, and performance review, both within Mumbai and across India.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management & Monitoring:
Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of Key Account Managers.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
Ensure timely and high-quality service delivery by KAMs to key clients.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
Act as the senior relationship point for top-tier accounts.
Personally visit existing key accounts across geographies for client meetings, issue resolution, and service assurance.
Conduct review meetings, build long-term rapport, and understand evolving client needs.
Business Development & Canvassing:
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts.
Collaborate with pricing and operations teams to offer optimized solutions.
Pitch value-added services during client interactions to strengthen business share.
Strategic Account Planning:
Develop and implement account growth strategies.
Maintain an account-wise action plan and review progress against KPIs.
Track competitor activity and proactively defend the business.
Reporting & MIS:
Monitor account performance, revenue trends, and service metrics.
Ensure timely submission of visit reports, client feedback, and action items.
Consolidate reports from all KAMs and present them to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 1-5
years
of experience in Key Account Executive, preferably in logistics, transportation, or B2B services.
Proven track record of managing high-value clients and leading teams.
Willingness to travel across India for client visits (up to 40-50% travel).
