General Summary:
Qualcomm Upstream Linux Kernel team based in Bangalore is looking for skilled and experienced engineers to work on Core Linux Kernel development used in Mobile, Compute and Cloud products. Scope of work would include developing new features in Linux kernel while adding support for bleeding edge CPUs and SoCs, scheduler and DVFS development for heterogeneous CPU topologies like big.LITTLE, memory management for RAM/IO mapping and allocation/buffer management schemes, debug and tracing drivers and tools, and bootloaders such as UEFI, U-boot and Coreboot. Scope of the work also includes optimizing runtime power/performance to help commercialization of products resolving various kernel issues reported by customers and other internal test teams, while also ensuring we work closely with the Linux open source community so all the support for new SoCs lands upstream in kernel.org. All this involves working closely with HW designers for requirements specification on new SoCs, system architects and engineers for broad feature design and implementation as well as working closely with internal stakeholders and partners (like Linaro), the Linux open source community and our various customers.
Minimum Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
