Job Description

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing engaging karate lesson plans for students of varying age groups and skill levels. Teaching fundamental karate techniques, katas, and self-defense skills. Instilling discipline, respect, and focus in students, aligning with the school's values. Providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Organizing and conducting karate belt grading examinations. Potentially coaching students for inter-school, district, state, and international level tournaments. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. Collaborating with school staff to integrate the karate program with other co-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Black Belt (or equivalent) in a recognized Karate style. Proven experience teaching karate to children and/or young adults, ideally within a school setting. Strong knowledge of karate techniques, philosophy, and safety protocols. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. Ability to clear a background check (if working with minors).
