SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY
As the key account manager for institutional sales in Bangalore, you will be responsible for driving B2B institutional sales for cables & wires products in projects across sectors including Manufacturing, Power (Conventional), Power (Renewable) etc. in Bangalore. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing relationships with institutional accounts in your sector and region, driving growth to achieve targeted revenue and growth aspirations.
Key Account & Relationship Management
Manage and strengthen relationships with large key accounts to increase Polycab's share of wallet & drive growth.
Proactively identify and acquire high-value accounts to expand market presence and drive business growth across target sectors.
Drive enquiry generation and conversion to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.
Cultivate strong relationships with EPCs, consultants, government bodies & other stakeholders involved in the procurement process.
Sales planning and management
Achieve institutional sales revenue and volume targets by driving B2B institutional sales in cables and wires segment.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand Polycab's reach and increase market penetration in key accounts across your region.
Analyze sales forecasts, account trends, and historical performance to inform and refine sales strategies.
Implement corrective actions and strategic adjustments to meet business objectives.
Cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with internal functions to ensure smooth daily operations, effective handling of client requests and requirements.
Adopt and effectively use digital tools to improve sales tracking and operational efficiency.

Achievement of institutional revenue and volume targets for your region and sectors.
Sales & market share growth.

SECTION IV: JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
MBA / PGDM - Preferred from Tier I institute
Skills & Functional Competencies
Strong understanding of Institutional business and key accounts in your region across sectors.
Familiarity with government tendering & EPC procurement processes.
Expertise in building and managing relationships with institutional accounts in B2B.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities.
Effective team management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency with digital tools and technologies for sales and customer management
Specific Experience
Minimum of 7 years in sales, with at least 3-5 years focused on the cable and wire industry sales roles.
Prior experience in handling large Institutional accounts, especially in Bangalore and nearby regions
Overall
7 years of total experience
