Primary Teacher (PRT) JOB TITLE: Primary Teacher (PRT) SUBJECTS: English, Hindi, Arts, Music, Physical Education, Dance and others. REPORTS TO: Primary School Coordinator LINE MANAGES: None PURPOSE The Primary Teacher will be a part of the Primary School Coordinator\'s Team coordinating all the academic activities related to the following: - Planning, Teaching and Classroom Management - Monitoring, Assessment, Recording, Reporting - Curriculum Development - Evaluation of students to precise them - Innovating pedagogies, technical education and evaluation - Inculcating values and new learning during teaching - To groom the students to become a successful individual You will be responsible for carrying out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school\'s policies under the direction of the reporting authority within the regulations and standards of the CBSE frameworks and academic material provided by the Principal. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Graduate with first class in the related subject along with a recognised degree or diploma in education (B.Ed. with appropriate subject specialisation) Two years of experience as a PRT is desirable. Should be CTET Certified, Trained or be willing to complete formal training as mandated by CBSE. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Good knowledge of MS Office software suite and ERP Solutions Good communication and analytical skills with a strong command of spoken English Ability to think differently and creatively and have a passion for academic excellence Ability to learn with a respectable attitude and inculcate values in the system Ability to elevate their personality as a role model Must be a practitioner with sound knowledge of CBSE Norms and Competency Based Education (CBE) Ability to counsel parents and teach students with love, affection and enthusiasm Encourage knowledge management and innovation among the peer group and students Flexibility with time to work extra hours as and when required Ability to work in a team as a team player with high people orientation is a must RESPONSIBILITIES Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how the students will be taught and assessed using the CBSE curriculum and other materials. Identifying SEN (students with special educational needs) or very able students Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge Ensure that the training given for creative teaching is effectively used to mentor and teach the students effectively. Making effective use of assessment and ensuring coverage of programmes of study as per CBSE curriculum and Competency Based Education (CBE) Ensuring effective teaching and the best use of available time To correct class work and homework of students diligently and without delay Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school\'s procedures and encouraging good practice with regard to punctuality and behaviour standards of work and homework Using a variety of teaching methods to match the approach to content, structure information, present a set of key ideas and use appropriate vocabulary Make use of effective questioning, listen carefully to students and give attention to errors Selecting appropriate learning resources and developing study skills through library I.C.T. (Information and Communication Technology) and other sources Ensuring students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught Evaluating own teaching critically to improve the effectiveness Ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of classroom support Taking account of student\'s needs by providing structured learning opportunities which develop the areas of learning identified in National and local policies and particularly the foundations for literacy and numeracy Encouraging pupils to think and talk about their learning, develop self-control and independence, concentrate and persevere, and listen attentively Using various teaching strategies involving planned adult intervention, first-hand experience and play and talk as a vehicle for learning. Assessing how well learning objectives have been achieved and using them to improve specific aspects of teaching Marking and monitoring the work of the students and setting targets for progress Assessing and recording the progress of the students systematically and keeping records Checking that the work is understood and completed, monitoring strengths and weaknesses, informing planning and recognising the level of achievements of students. Undertaking assessment of students as requested by examination bodies, departmental and school procedures Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents Leading responsibility for a subject or aspect of the school\'s work and developing plans which identify clear targets and success criteria for its development and/or maintenance Treat each child with love, care and understanding, and that corporal punishment is not given to any student. Contributing to the entire school\'s planning activities. To undertake any additional tasks/responsibilities as directed by the Principal SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Occasional flexibility to work in other roles as required for the development and expansion of the School or as suggested by the Primary Coordinator
