A Junior Technical Writer requires you to create clear, concise, and accurate technical content for telecom equipment in the fibre optics domain. In addition, you will also support DevOps-related activities for the documentation team. This hybrid role combines technical writing expertise with basic automation and deployment skills to streamline documentation workflows.
Responsibilities:
Technical Writing

• Develop and maintain user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting documentation for fiber optic telecom equipment. Develop and maintain technical documentation for fiber optic telecom products, including installation guides, User manuals, Configuration and troubleshooting documents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accurate technical information.
• Must be familiar with usage of standard tools used for authoring content. Knowledge of XML/Dita an advantage

DevOps for Documentation

• Automate documentation build and publishing processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Deploy documentation to web portals or internal platforms using scripts or automation tools.
• Monitor and maintain documentation servers and troubleshoot build issues.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Implement quality checks (linting, link validation) in automated workflows.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2-3 years
Domain: Telecom Equipment - Fiber Optics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
