Kitchen Operations
Assist in daily food preparation and cooking as per standards.
Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.
Support smooth kitchen service during peak hours.
Recipe Development
Assist in creating new recipes and menu items.
Test dishes and provide feedback for improvements.
Maintain standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
Vendor Coordination & Ordering
Assist with vendor communication and placing orders.
Ensure timely procurement of fresh and quality ingredients.
Report shortages and suggest alternative suppliers if needed.
Stock Management
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation (FIFO).
Reduce wastage and maintain accurate stock records.
Assist in weekly/monthly stock audits.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
Follow FSSAI hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Ensure workstations and storage areas are clean and organized.
SOP Compliance
Follow and help implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all kitchen processes meet quality and safety standards.
Report deviations and suggest improvements.
Team Leadership & Support
Assist in supervising commis staff and kitchen helpers.
Train new staff on basic kitchen tasks and hygiene practices.
Maintain discipline, teamwork, and a positive kitchen environment.
