to join our Gastroenterology Department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting consultants and providing comprehensive support in patient care, including OPD, IP, admissions & discharge.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a key role in assisting the Gastroenterology team with patient care and clinical support, including but not limited to:
Outpatient Department (OPD):
Assist consultants during OPD consultations.
Perform preliminary patient evaluations and document clinical history.
Support in conducting minor procedures and diagnostic workups.
Inpatient Department (IP):
Monitor admitted patients under the guidance of consultants.
Conduct regular patient rounds, update clinical notes, and ensure continuity of care.
Coordinate with the nursing team and other departments for smooth patient management.
Admissions & Discharges:
Manage patient admission formalities, initial assessments, and baseline investigations.
Prepare discharge summaries, explain post-discharge care to patients and relatives.
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in procedures and emergency gastroenterology cases as instructed by consultants.
Maintain proper patient records and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
Participate in departmental academic sessions, case presentations, and clinical discussions.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification:
MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
Registration:
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India/Kerala State Medical Council.
Experience:
Freshers and candidates with prior experience in Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology departments will be preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong clinical acumen and patient care orientation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle OPD, IP, admissions, and discharge responsibilities efficiently.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
