Job Description

Role Overview
The Strategy Researcher will play a critical role in strengthening the foundation of all
brand, content, and campaign strategies. This role is responsible for conducting
structured research across competitors, audiences, industries, and client brands, and
converting insights into clear, actionable inputs for the strategy team.
You will work closely with Brand Strategists, Content Strategists, Copywriters, Project
Managers, and the Strategy Head to ensure that every strategic recommendation is
grounded in strong research and real market understanding.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research & Discovery
? Conduct competitor, audience, and industry research during the early strategy
stages.
? Analyse competitors' positioning, messaging, content formats, channels, and
campaign approaches.
? Research audience behaviour, preferences, content consumption patterns, and
platform trends.
? Identify industry benchmarks, emerging trends, and white spaces relevant to the
client's category.
2. Brand & Asset Audit? Perform brand audits by reviewing existing client assets, tone of voice, messaging
consistency, and gaps.
? Evaluate websites, social media, ads, content, and communication touchpoints.
? Document strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities from a brand and
communication lens.
3. Strategy Support
? Translate research findings into clear insights and inputs for:
? Brand positioning and messaging direction
? Content pillars and themes
? Platform-wise content strategies
? Campaign and funnel recommendations
? Support strategists during strategy creation, proposal development, and
revisions with data-backed inputs.
4. Documentation & Knowledge Management
? Create and maintain research documents, insight summaries, and reference
decks.
? Ensure research findings are structured, easy to understand, and usable by design
and content teams.
? Maintain updated research templates, tools, and category knowledge bases.
5. Collaboration & Process Adherence? Work in alignment with the defined strategy process and timelines.
? Collaborate with:
? Brand Strategists (BS)
? Content Strategists (CS)
? Copywriters (CWR)
? Project Managers (PM)
? Participate in internal briefings, reviews, and client preparation discussions when
required.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
? Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
? Ability to synthesise large amounts of information into concise insights
? Excellent written communication and documentation skills
? Understanding of branding, content marketing, social media, and digital marketing
? Attention to detail and structured thinking
Good to Have
? Prior experience in a marketing or branding agency? Familiarity with tools like Google Trends, Meta Ad Library, SimilarWeb, Notion, or
research databases
? Basic understanding of funnels, performance marketing, and content strategy
