Role Overview

The Junior Researcher will support economic and financial analysis related to agricultural markets, cooperatives, and agribusiness enterprises. The role involves research, data analysis, and documentation support for studies, assessments, and advisory projects.

Key Responsibilities

Support financial and economic analysis of agricultural markets and agribusiness enterprises Assist in data collection, validation, and analysis for research studies and assessments Contribute to preparation of reports, working papers, and presentations Support cost-benefit analysis and basic financial assessments under senior guidance Assist in market research, literature reviews, and secondary data analysis Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for research inputs Maintain databases, research records, and documentation

Required Skills & Competencies

Basic understanding of agricultural economics, markets, and agribusiness Analytical skills with ability to work on data and financial information Good report writing and documentation skills Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools Ability to work in a team and meet project timelines

Preferred Experience

Exposure to government, development sector, or research projects Experience working with cooperatives, FPOs, or agri-value chains
