1-3 years (preferably in transformer/power sector)
CTC:
Up to ?3.5 LPA
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and source materials/components for transformer manufacturing (e.g., CRGO, copper, bushings, insulation, etc.)
Float inquiries and request quotations from approved vendors
Evaluate vendor quotes based on price, quality, and delivery timeline
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement
Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery and resolve supply issues
Maintain vendor relationships and update approved vendor list
Coordinate with stores, accounts, and production teams for smooth flow of materials
Track inventory levels and plan purchases based on production schedules
Ensure cost-effective and quality procurement in line with company standards
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
Candidate Requirements:
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase in transformer or heavy electrical industry
Good negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of transformer components and raw materials preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple purchase requests
Preferred:
Experience in vendor development and cost-saving initiatives
Knowledge of GST, logistics, and import procedures is an added advantage
