Qualification
: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical / Production/Mechatronics
Minimum 1 years of experience working in a manufacturing industry. OBJECTIVE To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the automatic relay production line through effective HMI control, timely changeovers, and process monitoring, thereby achieving maximum output with consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Line Operation & Monitoring Operate and continuously monitor the fully automatic relay assembly line. Ensure continuous, smooth, and stable line operation with minimal downtime. Start-up, shutdown, and changeover of line as per production schedule. Respond immediately to any alarm or abnormal indication on HMI and take corrective action and inform production Engineer. Record and communicate any line stoppage, alarm, or abnormality to production engineer. Maintain proper discipline, cleanliness, and safety around the line during operation.
2.
Tool Changeover & Machine Setting Perform tool and fixture changeovers as per product variant. Adjust and set machine parameters using HMI based on work instructions. Ensure correct setup before starting production to avoid rejections. Perform machine settings as per product requirement
3
. Production Efficiency Achieve targeted daily and hourly production output. Maintain line OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and reduce idle time. Record production data, downtime, and efficiency in Hourly/daily reports.
4.
Quality & Process Control Conduct first-piece inspection after changeover and coordinate with QA for approval. Observe quality of relays during production and stop the line if any abnormality is found. Maintain process discipline as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
5
. Maintenance Coordination Identify and report any abnormal machine behavior, sensor malfunction, pneumatic leakage, air pressure fluctuation, or component misalignment to the Production and Maintenance Engineers immediately. Support the maintenance team during breakdowns, providing detailed feedback about the line condition and sequence of fault occurrence. Perform minor preventive maintenance such as: Cleaning sensors, actuators, and machine surfaces, internal machine parts. Changing flow control valves, pneumatic fittings as per instruction. Checking and adjusting air pressure and cable connections. Cleaning optical sensors, reflective plates, and conveyor paths to prevent false detections. Lubrication and oiling of moving parts, guide rails, and bearings as per the preventive maintenance plan. Maintain a record of daily and weekly maintenance activities, including small part replacements and cleaning schedules. Ensure that all safety interlocks, guards, and covers are intact before restarting the line after maintenance & even when machine in working condition
6
. Safety & 5S Follow all safety guidelines while operating automated machines and shop floor rules. Maintain 5S on shop floor clean, organized, and safe working area.
7.
Documentation & Reporting Fill daily production log, Rejection data, changeover record, and downtime sheet accurately. Communicate production status and issues to Production Engineer/Manager timely.
8.
Continuous Improvement Suggest improvements in process settings, tooling, or layout,5s to enhance productivity. Participate in line kaizen and problem-solving activities.
9.
Required Technical Skills: Preference will be given to candidates who have worked on fully automatic production lines and having experience of operating fully automatic SPM with below listed knowledge base. PLC & HMI Basics - Understand operation screens, alarm messages, and basic fault diagnosis. Basic knowledge and familier with different types of sensor functioning. Basic knowledge and experience of handling Pneumatic cylinders. Familier with Auto feeding system and convyer systems. Cycle Time & Process Parameter Monitoring - Checking and adjusting speed, temperature, pressure, curing time, etc. Fault & Alarm Handling of machines. Familier for using measuring instruments DV,DMIC,DHG,DMM,Power Supply,Camera based inspection system. Ability to read Component diagrams, assembly drawings, and process layouts
10
.Soft Skills
1. Alertness & Presence of Mind
- Must be attentive during machine operation and able to respond quickly to any alarms, abnormal sounds, or process deviations.
2. Discipline & Responsibility
- Should maintain punctuality, follow SOPs, and take ownership of the line's performance.
3. Problem-Solving Attitude
- Ability to identify the root cause of minor issues and take corrective action instead of waiting for instructions.

- Good communication and cooperation with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth line running.
5. Technical Curiosity
- Willingness to understand machine behavior, new processes, and automation principles.
6. Patience & Focus
- Should be able to monitor the automated line continuously and maintain focus during long production runs.
7. Proactive Approach
- Should anticipate potential issues and act before they cause stoppages.
8. Accountability
- Owns the line's output, downtime, and quality; takes full responsibility for performance.
9. Adaptability
- Can adjust quickly to different product & production types, line programs, or production priorities.
10. Safety Awareness
- Always follows machine safety, PPE usage, and ensures safe practices during changeovers or cleaning.
