The Junior Planner will support the Manager Planning & Buying Head in planning inventory, managing OTB, tracking sales performance, and ensuring healthy stock availability across stores and channels. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights. He/she will work
cross-functionally with merchandising, buying, stores, warehouse, brand partners and finance.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
1. Assist in Pre-Season Planning of Sellable & Non-Sellable Inventory: Assist in range & size set planning.
2. Assist in In-Season & Post Season Analysis: Track sell thru performance, flag gaps/concerns & maintain
optimal stock cover.
3. In-Season Inventory Management: Assist in inter store transfers (allocation, replenishments, consolidation & pullback), Identify cut-size/odd-size inventory. Assist in markdown & liquidation planning.
4. Reporting & Analytics: Prepare weekly/monthly MIS, maintain dashboards & performance trackers & share weekly reports with cross functional teams
5. Cross Functional Coordination.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Sell thru performance, Fill rate, Effective Inventory health, Efficient & Accurate Inter Store Transfer, Markdown effectiveness, Report accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
- Upto 3 years of experience in retail planning/merchandising
- Strong MS Excel proficiency
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- High ownership and attention to detail
Good to Have: Experience in sneaker/streetwear/fashion retail, Knowledge of retail ERP systems & Understanding of retail math.
