Key Responsibilities
Installation & Setup:
Install new mechanical equipment, electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems according to blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on machinery and electrical circuits to identify potential problems before they lead to failure.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Identify root causes of malfunctions in mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics) and electrical systems (circuits, controls, relays).
Repair & Replacement:
Repair or replace defective parts, including switches, motors, outlets, and mechanical components.
Testing & Validation:
Conduct performance tests and use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters) to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and installations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers and fellow technicians to resolve technical challenges and improve maintenance procedures.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, electrical codes, and workplace regulations to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
1+ years of experience as a technician (preferred). Fresh graduates with a strong academic foundation and hands-on training are encouraged to apply.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Thorough understanding of electrical theory (AC/DC) and control systems.
Tool Proficiency:
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, different shifts, or respond to emergencies as required.
