Who are we



Syook is an early-stage startup, headquartered in Bengaluru, working in the B2B space. Our flagship product, Syook InSite, allows businesses to visualize their operations, providing information that can easily translate into measurable impact on the bottom line. InSite is an Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) solution that uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons to generate highly accurate location data of all your resources (both assets and people), at much lower costs than comparable technologies. The result: Quick RoI and Improved Operational Performance. It's Industry 4.0, ready for deployment!

Role overview



First and foremost, we're looking for people who are excited about what we're doing -- you don't need to know anything about IoT, but should be excited to learn. We're building in an entirely new space, so you'll be able to use creativity to help us solve problems and delight our customers.

We're looking for someone who has always loved planning and organizing stuff and is obsessed with delighting the end user. For e.g. you might have been in charge of the dance program at your college, and you ensured that it was done to perfection -- right from the stage lightings, to water for the participants, to ensuring that the judges were picked up on time, to the video recordings of the program -- you made sure there were no glitches in between.

If you believe that the backbone for success is good planning and you have the right ingredients like hard work, determination, and perseverance to work the plan, then we have the right role for you. While we have emphasized a lot on the planning bit, we also expect you to be able to take on any bouncers that might come your way, i.e., you should ideally be able to work well even if things don't go as expected. Which obviously means that you have loads of 'common sense', and must be reasonably comfortable with basic troubleshooting for random stuff!

A day in your role will involve any of the following (or a combination)



Lead, motivate & support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of Syook's deployment plans for all direct deployments, problem resolutions, and customer support, Pan India. Support cross-functional teams in their day-to-day operations. E.g.: Support R&D teams with locating & testing new hardware prototypes. Manage to end supply chain of the product (including material and inventory management). Conduct Daily Operational standups, Client management to improve customer experience and customer retention, manage timely data collection (when required) to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, etc.

Performance management of the team based on the successful deployments & customer success



Take complete ownership of live deployments at client premises, including site surveys, configuration & installation of hardware, training & hand-holding of end users, post-deployment operational & technical support & enhance overall customer experience throughout the project lifecycle. This is a full-time position based out of New Delhi with the option of working remotely for a few days in the month (obviously, when you don't have active deployments!). You should be willing to travel extensively within India/abroa,d and even to remote places. Now, if all of this sounds exciting to you, read ahead and see what we have (and don't have) to offer.

? You can usually think on your feet and find that exciting! Love interacting with people and can communicate very well in both English, Hindi. Obviously, a plus if you know other languages.
? Excited for a front-row seat in a fast-growing, early-stage company. Enjoy thinking through trade-offs, with mindfulness of short-term needs and our long-term direction.
? Willing to travel extensively locally and should have 2 2-wheeler with a license, Happy to get hands-on and organize stuff on the ground. You should be someone for whom seamless coordination between different departments & people is second nature.
? You are extremely self-driven and care about doing a good job and improving your craft. You have a growth mindset, can keep up with the latest trends in your area, and suggest enhancements based on these.
? Most importantly, you're the kind of person who is friendly, approachable, ready to help others, and personally keen to put your best foot forward and mentor others.

Technically, these are some of the things we would like for you to have to be able to contribute effectively in this kind of a position



? Efficient use of Google Suite and MS Office
? Good project management, operations management & supply chain management skills
? Good understanding of basic config & troubleshooting of routers/modems via laptops, should be comfortable working around electrical & electronic components.

1. Getting to know each other (elsewhere this is called 'Screening')


You'll first talk to the People Services team (over phone or video) and won't need to prepare anything in advance. The goal of this conversation is to get to know you and mutually explore if we might be a good fit for each other. You'll learn more about Syook and have a chance to ask any questions about our company, team culture, and product.

2. Preliminary Technical Discussion


If we're impressed with your initial screening, we'll invite you for an interview (telephonic / video). You'll get the chance to showcase your technical skills, thinking process, and any projects you've worked on. Please feel free to ask questions about the role, company, culture, or anything else that would help you decide if you would be interested in working with us in the near future. This round is primarily used to get a better feel for your experience, how you work, and where you may fit in. Through this and the next steps, you'll meet more people in the company so we can get to know each other better.

3. Technical Interview ( 1 hour )


The final round will be with our Gaurav Rajput (Senior Operations Executive). Here we will try and see where your strengths lie as far as the Jr Executive operations role is concerned and play to the same. This will be a deep conversation revolving around the approach you have towards operations management, on the ground experience,e and overall coordination between various employees around. You will also get to understand what your role is all about and how you can grow with us. Feel free to ask for feedback at this stage, and we will be happy to share the same.

4. People & Culture fit round


If you reach this stage, we want to ensure that you will feel comfortable working with us and that we can give you an environment where you can be your productive best. We will use this discussion to understand what you bring to the table apart from your technical skills in terms of initiatives, personality, and a certain entrepreneurial mindset. Please also use this round to ask any number of questions you may have about the company, culture, people, clients, etc. We'll be more than happy to chat around the same time!
