The Junior Merchandiser will assist the Merchandising team in managing the end-to-end order process for men's/women's shirts. This includes sample development, fabric and trims sourcing, production follow-up, and coordination with internal departments and buyers to ensure timely order execution as per quality and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Management & Coordination
Assist in receiving and understanding buyer's tech packs, specifications, and purchase orders.
Coordinate with pattern, sampling, cutting, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Support in order execution and track each stage from sampling to shipment.
2. Sampling & Product Development
Follow up on sample development (proto, fit, PP, size set, shipment samples, etc.) as per buyer's calendar.
Ensure proper communication of buyer comments and changes to relevant departments.
Maintain sample records and approvals.
3. Sourcing & Procurement Support
Coordinate with fabric and trims suppliers for price, availability, and lead time.
Assist in preparing BOM (Bill of Materials) and purchase requisitions.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely in-house of materials.
4. Production Follow-up
Monitor production status and update the senior merchandiser regularly.
Coordinate with production and QA to resolve issues related to fabric, trims, or workmanship.
Support in ensuring on-time delivery and shipment documentation.
5. Communication & Documentation
Maintain effective communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Update order tracking sheets, T&A (Time & Action) calendars, and reports.
File and document all buyer communications, approvals, and order details systematically.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or Garment Manufacturing.
0-2 years
of experience in merchandising (preferably in a woven shirt factory).
Basic understanding of
garment construction, fabrics, trims, and production processes.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in
MS Excel, Word, and email correspondence.
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in follow-ups.
