Job Summary

The Junior Merchandiser - Knits will support the merchandising team in handling knit garment orders from sampling to production and shipment. The role involves coordination with buyers, sampling teams, production units, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of knitwear orders.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Order Handling

Assist in handling knit garment orders from enquiry to shipment

Prepare and follow up on samples (fit, PP, size set, GPT)

Maintain order sheets, costing details, and buyer comments

Track order status and update seniors regularly

Sampling Coordination

Coordinate with sampling, fabric sourcing, and trims teams

Ensure samples are developed as per buyer specifications and timelines

Follow up on sample approvals and modifications

Production Coordination

Support production planning as per delivery schedules

Coordinate with cutting, stitching, washing, and finishing departments

Assist in fabric and trim follow-ups to avoid delays

Quality & Compliance Support

Assist in monitoring quality parameters as per buyer requirements

Coordinate with QC team for inline and final inspections

Ensure documentation readiness for inspections

Buyer Communication

Support communication with buyers regarding sample status and order progress

Prepare email updates, reports, and tracking sheets

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of knit fabrics and garment processes

Understanding of merchandising flow in garments

Good communication and coordination skills

Basic Excel and MS Office knowledge

Ability to follow timelines and multitask

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, or related field
