The Junior Merchandiser will support the merchandising team in coordinating between buyers, production, and internal departments to ensure timely execution of orders while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in handling buyer communications related to sampling, order details, and follow-ups
Coordinate with sampling, production, sourcing, and quality teams for smooth order execution
Track sample development (fit, proto, pre-production, and size set samples)
Support in preparing costing sheets and maintaining order-related documentation
Monitor production timelines and update status reports regularly
Assist in fabric, trims, and accessory follow-ups with suppliers
Help ensure quality standards are maintained as per buyer requirements
Maintain records of purchase orders, tech packs, approvals, and shipment details
Support senior merchandisers in day-to-day merchandising activities
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic understanding of garment manufacturing processes
Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment terminology (preferred)
Good communication and coordination skills
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Email)
Ability to multitask and work under timelines
Willingness to learn and grow in merchandising functions
Educational Qualification
Diploma / Degree in Fashion Designing, Textile Technology, Apparel Merchandising, or related field
Freshers with internship experience in garment industry are welcome to apply
Experience Requirement
0 to 1 year of experience in garment manufacturing or export house
Freshers with relevant education or training can be considered
Preferred Candidate Profile
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
Good interpersonal skills and team player
Interest in apparel merchandising and production coordination
