Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized

Junior Merchant

to assist the merchandising and production teams in managing the day-to-day operations of apparel product development. The role involves handling documentation, costing coordination, barcoding, and vendor follow-ups to ensure smooth production flow and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage

file handovers

between design, development, and production teams. Support in

costing, cost closure, and order finalization

. Coordinate

bar code generation

and SKU creation for new styles. Follow up with

vendors, suppliers, and factories

for sampling, production, and dispatch updates. Track

production timelines

and update internal T&A (Time & Action) sheets. Maintain organized records of

tech packs, approvals, and order sheets

. Assist senior merchants in

style allocation, material tracking, and shipment follow-up

. Prepare and update

MIS reports

related to product and vendor performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Good understanding of

fashion merchandising and apparel production cycles

. Strong coordination and communication skills with vendors and internal teams. Proficiency in

MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems

. Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. A proactive and team-oriented approach.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Management, or Commerce

. 1-2 years of experience in

fashion merchandising, production, or sourcing

preferred.

Preferred Background:

Experience with

women's wear, men's wear, or fashion export houses

. Familiarity with

fabric types, trims, and basic garment costing

.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
