: Junior Lecturer - Chemistry

Position Overview

The Junior Lecturer in Chemistry is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, fostering a strong foundation in chemical principles, and supporting academic excellence through teaching, mentoring, and departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical). Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards. Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Student Support

Guide and mentor students in academic and career development. Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and lab work. Provide remedial support for students needing extra help.

Academic Contribution

Participate in curriculum development and academic planning. Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and departmental events. Engage in continuous professional development and research activities.

Administrative Duties

Maintain attendance records, grade sheets, and student progress reports. Collaborate with colleagues on departmental tasks and committees. Support accreditation and quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field (M.Sc. Chemistry). NET/SET qualification preferred (as per UGC norms). Strong communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital platforms.

Work Schedule

Full-time position, typically Monday to Saturday. May include additional hours for lab supervision or academic events.
