Job Description

Paliath Interiors is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles, proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp, and experience working on residential projects. A solid understanding of materials, including plywood and timber, as well as knowledge of hardware brands and their applications, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Senior Interior Designers in creating initial design sketches, color themes, and ideas based on client requirements and space availability. Develop detailed design plans and 3D models using AutoCAD and SketchUp. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring designs align with their vision. Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings, with a focus on plywood, timber, and hardware brands. Prepare project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and presentations. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure design integrity. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices in interior design.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. 0.6 months to 2 years of experience in residential interior design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is mandatory. Strong understanding of design principles and space planning. Knowledge of plywood, timber woods, and various hardware brands and their usages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
