Junior Full-Stack Engineer (Remote, Australia Timezone)

About the Role

We are a medium, fast-moving organization with a production analytics and automation platform used by marketing and finance teams. You will work directly with the company's sole Software Engineer and contribute to

real production systems

, not toy projects.

This role is ideal for a

junior engineer

who already knows how to code, wants hands-on experience across backend, frontend, and infrastructure, and is comfortable learning by doing.

You will be involved in maintaining and extending existing systems rather than green-field research or academic work.

What You'll Work On

You will assist with:

Backend Development

Contributing to Python (FastAPI) and PHP codebases Writing APIs, scripts, and small features Fixing bugs and improving reliability

Frontend & Web

Supporting WordPress/PHP sites and dashboards Making small UI changes and improving UX where needed

Automation & Integrations

Writing Python scripts for internal automations Integrating third-party APIs (analytics, payments, etc.)

Infrastructure & Ops

Working in Linux and command-line environments Using SSH to access VPS/AWS instances Helping with deployments, monitoring, and basic DevOps tasks

Analytics & Tracking (Exposure)

Supporting Google Tag Manager and marketing analytics setups Debugging tracking issues when required
This is a

hands-on engineering role

with direct exposure to production systems and business impact.

Required Skills

You

do not

need to be an expert, but you must be comfortable with:

Python or PHP (

at least one

at a working level) Writing and reading medium-sized codebases Git for version control Linux or WSL environments Command-line usage SSH access to remote servers

Nice to Have

Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django Experience with WordPress or WooCommerce Familiarity with REST APIs Basic AWS or VPS experience Any personal projects or open-source contributions

Working Hours & Timezone

You must be comfortable working in

Australian business hours

Expected overlap:

at least 4-6 hours per day

~4:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. IST
