Role Purpose

This role is designed for a fresh engineering or management graduate who will support the Finance team at Brandverse by working at the intersection of finance, operations and engineering/project teams. The candidate will help collect, analyse and report financial data, enable process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally to support Brandverse's growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of

monthly

quarterly

finance reports including cost tracking, variance analysis, and project-cost overlays.
Reconcile vendor invoices, labour/project cost inputs, and internal charge-backs; ensure accuracy of entries in finance systems.
Work with engineering/project teams to gather cost data (hours, materials, overheads), and map those into the finance dashboards.
Support budgeting and forecasting exercises: collecting inputs, consolidating data, and maintaining tracking sheets.
Build and maintain dashboards (Excel/Google Sheets) to show key finance metrics, project KPIs, cost per initiative, ROI tracking.
Support process-improvement initiatives: automate manual tasks, build simple tools (macros, scripts, dashboards) to reduce effort and increase accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance policies: document workflows, assist audit prep, ensure timelines are met.
Communicate finance findings to stakeholders (engineering, operations, leadership) in a clear, timely manner.
Handle ad-hoc analysis or special projects as assigned (for example cost benefit of new verticals, cross-border trade implications, new category launch cost modelling).

Technical Skills:

Strong numerical aptitude and comfort with numbers.
Good working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets): formulas (LOOKUP, SUMIFS), pivot tables, charts.
Basic understanding of accounting/finance concepts (cost, margin, P&L, balance sheet) is a plus.
Exposure or willingness to learn ERP/finance systems is desirable.
