Lead facade design development from concept through to construction documentation.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and performance criteria are met.
Develop and review detailed 2D drawings, system details, and mock-ups.
Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
Provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters.
Evaluate facade materials, systems, and assemblies for technical performance and aesthetics.
Support site team during installation with technical advice and shop drawing reviews.
Prepare presentations, reports, and client-facing documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in facade design, preferably in large-scale commercial or high-rise projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Strong understanding of facade systems (unitized, stick, curtain wall, cladding, etc.).
Knowledge of structural behavior, thermal performance, waterproofing, and materials.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASTM, BS, EN, local codes).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working with international teams and projects is a plus.
