The Junior Estimator will support the Estimation team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves assisting in quantity take-offs, analyzing drawings, gathering cost data, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely submission of bids.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for civil and RCC works.
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Collect and analyze rate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Support in preparing detailed cost breakdowns and comparative statements.
Maintain updated databases of material, labor, and equipment costs.
Coordinate with site engineers for project inputs and clarifications.
Track market rates, industry trends, and competitor pricing.
Ensure timely submission of estimates, reports, and documentation.
Provide administrative and technical support to the Senior Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
6 months - 2 years of experience in estimation, preferably in RCC/civil construction.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
