Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Collect and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
Analyze project risks, constraints, and cost factors.
Prepare tender submissions, cost sheets, rate analysis, and pricing documents.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
Maintain updated cost databases, material price lists, and vendor information.
Support negotiations with suppliers and contractors where required.
Monitor ongoing project costs and provide cost variance inputs when necessary.
Ensure timely delivery of estimates and adhere to bidding deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil.
Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, manufacturing, or engineering industry.
Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, rate analysis, and BOQ preparation.
Proficiency in estimation software, MS Excel, and AutoCAD (optional but preferred).
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in tendering for government/PSU projects (if applicable).
Familiarity with market rates and vendor networks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
Good negotiation and documentation skills.
