Job Description

A junior engineer is an entry-level professional who assists senior engineers with design, development, and project management tasks. Key responsibilities include collecting data, creating reports and technical drawings, performing tests, and collaborating with team members to solve problems and ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Core responsibilities

Assisting with design and development:

Collaborating with senior engineers on new projects, creating preliminary designs, and contributing to new engineering methods.

Data collection and analysis:

Gathering and verifying engineering data, performing tests and simulations, and analyzing results to support project goals.

Project management support:

Helping to prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and progress reports, and assisting with the supervision of construction or maintenance activities.

Documentation and reporting:

Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and reports, and documenting project progress and findings.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting:

Identifying technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and assisting in their resolution, often serving as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments or contractors.

Quality assurance:

Conducting inspections, validating prototypes, and ensuring that projects and products adhere to quality standards.
Required skills and qualifications

Education:

A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering field, such as mechanical, civil, or quality engineering.

Technical skills:

Proficiency in relevant engineering software (like CAD software) and familiarity with quality management principles are often required.

Soft skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team.
