Responsibilities

Safety Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking a safety round every day in the department/section so as to identify and rectify unsafe condition/act.
  • Ensuring that all work in general and contract work in particular in the department/section is done safely though Permit, SJA, HIRA, etc.
  • Listing all unsafe conditions which he cannot correct & seek assistance from the departmental head to rectify the same.
  • Training new employees for safe working methods.
  • Follow safe work procedure and rules.
  • Reporting to the supervisor any unsafe condition/act, and near-miss accident.
  • Using and maintaining all PPEs and other safety equipment issued.
  • Ensure safety of all team members, when working in a team
Other Responsibilities
  • Works as a member of various committees.
  • Participates in various cross functional teams.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing exercise and ensure dissemination of tacit and explicit knowledge through proper channel.
  • Take corrective action for the non-conformity found during internal/external audit
  • Ensuring housekeeping during, and after any maintenance work done in other departments as well as in civil department also.
  • Responsible for all the safety and EHS responsibilities listed in ISO process of the department
  • Providing assistance in various social recreational activities in township.
Profile
  • Investigating each and every incident occurring in the department/ section and implement remedial measures.
  • Inspect and maintain all hand tools, jigs, fixtures in the work area.
  • Discuss with his reporting Manager for any unsafe condition/act and suggest, implement suitable remedial measures
  • Using appropriate hand tools for the work, store/maintain the same in safe usable condition at proper place.
  • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components as per PM Plan and schedule.
  • Knowledge of drawings related Motors, transformers, DG sets up to 11KV.
  • Operation & Maintenance of Fire alarm, Cathodic Protection and Public Address system.
  • Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
  • Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
  • Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
  • Initiate suggestion & ideas for improvement in existing Electrical systems related to safety and reliability.
Education & Experience

Education: Candidate should be Diploma/ I.T.I. - Electrical from reputed College/University. Candidate Should have scored Minimum 60% in10th,12th & in Diploma/ I.T.I. - Electrical.

Experience: Candidate Should have 6 to 10 years of Experience. Experience from Fertilizer Industry will be preferred.
