Role Overview

JK Precision & Tools is looking for an experienced CNC/VMC Engineer to manage production operations, programming, fixture development, manpower handling, and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring productivity, quality, cost optimization, and on-time delivery across CNC/VMC operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Shift Management

Shift manpower planning for company and contract employees Effective shift handling and supervision Daily and weekly production planning and monitoring Conduct monthly production review meetings

2. CNC / VMC / HMC Operations

Programming, setting, and operation of VMC & HMC (3 & 4 Axis) Strong hands-on experience in 2D manual programming, G-Code & M-Code Troubleshooting and resolving program-related and machining issues Monitoring and maintaining OEE for CNC and VMC machines

3. Quality & Inspection

Cross-checking and validating CMM programs Solving quality-related issues and ensuring adherence to specifications Supporting inspection and dimensional accuracy improvements

4. NPD & Process Development

Active involvement in New Product Development (NPD) Process optimization for new and existing components Cycle time reduction initiatives

5. Fixture & Tooling

Strong knowledge of fixture design concepts Fixture development, modification, and improvement Tool improvement and modification activities Hands-on experience with fixture knowledge and applications

6. Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

Monthly Kaizen activities Cost reduction and cost saving initiatives Improving productivity through process, tooling, and fixture enhancements

7. Documentation & SOP

Preparing and maintaining SOPs for operators, tools, and jobs Ensuring standardization of processes and best practices

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC machining operations Hands-on experience in programming, setting, and supervision Understanding of OEE, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen Ability to lead teams and handle shop-floor challenges Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and coordination skills

Education

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience of 6 to 9 Yrs in precision machining, fixtures, and tooling manufacturing Exposure to high-mix, low-volume and production environments Willingness to work in rotational shifts
