Position Overview

The Junior Civil Engineer assists senior engineers and project teams in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational engineering knowledge who are eager to learn through hands-on project exposure.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning

Assist in preparing engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications. Support the development of detailed structural and civil designs using CAD or BIM software. Conduct basic engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimations.

Technical Documentation

Prepare engineering reports, method statements, and documentation for regulatory approvals. Maintain organized project records, logs, and drawings. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction practices. Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD, etc.). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Internship or 6-12 months experience in a construction or engineering environment. Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera). Understanding of local codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
