Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in solar power projects (Rooftop / Ground-mounted). The role includes site supervision, coordination with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the project team in achieving timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and electrical layouts for solar installations. Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, earthing, and lightning protection designs. Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components - inverters, transformers, switchgear, panels, and SCADA systems. Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and local regulations (CEA, MNRE, DISCOM). Coordinate with design, civil, and mechanical teams for smooth project execution. Perform inspections and quality checks for electrical materials and workmanship. Handle liaison with local electricity boards for net metering, synchronization, and statutory approvals. Troubleshoot electrical issues during project execution and operation phases. Maintain documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning records. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for operational solar plants.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (both rooftop and ground-mounted). Hands-on experience with inverters, transformers, LT/HT panels, and SCADA. Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office tools. Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices. Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in EPC / Renewable Energy companies. Exposure to large-scale solar projects (1 MW and above).
