A renowned structural consultant who committed to delivering exceptional structural design and consultancy services, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Draughtsman to prepare technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. The candidate will work closely with civil engineers to develop detailed drawings for construction, infrastructure, and other site development projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare structural drawings, including: RCC layouts, Reinforcement detailing (footings, columns, beams, slabs, staircases), and Structural steel drawings (if applicable)
Develop GA drawings, section details, and construction details as per engineer inputs.
Ensure drawings are clear, readable, and construction-ready.
Work closely with Structural Engineers to: Understand design intent and calculations, Incorporate changes arising from design revisions or client comments.
Highlight drawing conflicts, missing information, or constructability concerns to the engineer proactively.
Use AutoCAD for the preparation and modification of all structural drawings.
Refer to ETABS and STAAD Pro outputs to: Understand member sizes, load paths, and design assumptions. Accurately reflect design intent in drawings (not for independent design unless instructed).
Implement revisions efficiently based on: Engineer feedback, Client/architect coordination.
Maintain revision histories and ensure correct versions are shared internally and externally.
Ensure drawings comply with IS Codes, Internal drafting standards, Project-specific requirements.
Perform self-checks before submission to minimize errors and rework.
Raise drawing-related queries in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
Organize drawings, reference files, and project folders systematically.
Ensure proper naming conventions and version control are followed.
Required Qualification:
6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience as a Structural Draughtsman.
Diploma /BE Civil /B TECH Civil.
Should be Proficient in handling software like AutoCAD, ETABS and STAAD Pro.
Should be Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and engineer instructions accurately.
Openness to feedback and revisions
Sense of ownership for assigned drawings
