Roles & responsibilities
Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline and accelerate software delivery.
Infrastructure Management: Help manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), ensuring the environments are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Set up and manage monitoring tools to ensure application performance, availability, and security. Proactively identify and resolve system issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and IT operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration processes. Provide support to development teams to ensure their work is properly integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Configuration Management: Maintain and improve configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
Version Control: Assist with version control using tools like Git, and ensure code is versioned appropriately for development and release.
Scripting & Automation: Write scripts in languages like Python, Shell, or Bash to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Security & Compliance: Support the implementation of best practices around security, data privacy, and compliance in DevOps processes.
Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Help troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, and assist in root cause analysis during incidents.
Skills required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, and RabbitMQ.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with GCP services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking.
Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Knowledge on GoLang is a plus.
Strong understanding of RabbitMQ, including setup, configuration, clustering, and message reliability.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed, cloud-based environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Good to Have
Professional certifications related to cloud computing, Kubernetes, DevOps, or RabbitMQ.
Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or IBM Cloud
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
Knowledge of infrastructure security principles and best practices, particularly for messaging queues.
Experience with database administration and management (SQL or NoSQL).
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
