Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Junior Design Assistant

to support our lead designer in developing high-quality drawings and detailed documentation for modular prefab homes and cottages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in architectural and interior detailing, MEP coordination, and preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for execution and costing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the main designer in preparing 2D architectural drawings and detailing in AutoCAD. Support in creating detailed layouts for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC (MEP) integration. Collaborate with the design and production team for finalizing material specifications for both interiors and exteriors. Prepare and update BOQs based on finalized drawings and material selection. Ensure drawing accuracy and maintain drawing logs and revision records. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for material and design-related queries. Maintain project documentation, spreadsheets, and drawing libraries in Excel and shared drives.

Requirements:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD

and

Microsoft Excel

is a must. Understanding of MEP layouts and integration in architectural drawings. Basic knowledge of prefab or modular construction processes preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Minimum qualification: Diploma or Degree in Architecture/Interior Design/Civil Engineering. 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Preferred Skills:

BOQ preparation and material estimation. Good communication and coordination abilities. Familiarity with construction drawings and technical detailing.
