We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Data Analyst
to join our team. This role will focus on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to uncover insights that drive operational efficiency, enhance client offerings, and support strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with data mining tools and will also contribute ideas for business development, customer segmentation, product offerings, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources (internal systems, CRM, third-party data, etc.)
Perform
data mining
to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in customer behavior, policy preferences, and claims data
Develop and maintain
dashboards
, reports, and visualizations to support key stakeholders
Conduct competitor and market analysis to support expansion strategies and product innovation
Provide actionable insights to sales, operations, and underwriting teams to improve performance and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with leadership to propose
data-driven strategies
for business growth and customer retention
Identify opportunities to automate manual data processes and improve data infrastructure
Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations (e.g., GDPR)
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
Proficiency in
data analysis tools
(e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R)
Experience with
data visualization platforms
(e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and predictive modeling
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills - ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
Experience in the
insurance or financial services sector
Knowledge of CRM systems and insurance-specific platforms
Familiarity with customer segmentation, lead scoring, and churn prediction models
Understanding of regulatory requirements in insurance (e.g., IRDAI norms)
