About the Role

In Australia, organisations are required to be registered with the relevant regulatory bodies before delivering training and assessment to students. These organisations are referred to as Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

As an

RTO Consultant

with SKG Consulting, you will provide guidance and support to compliance and management teams within Australian education providers. Your work will be aligned with key regulatory frameworks such as the

Standards for RTOs 2025

,

National Code 2018

, and other applicable requirements.

In addition to compliance support, you will assist with management consulting services, including

RTO registration

,

scope additions or reductions

, and

performance and compliance assessments

. This role is fully remote and involves working closely with internal teams and clients across different locations.

No prior legislative knowledge is required. SKG Consulting will provide structured training and ongoing support to help you perform your role effectively.

Role and Responsibilities

Compliance Support

Work closely with senior consultants to support RTO compliance with national regulatory standards Assist with compliance audits, gap analysis, and improvement planning Support the preparation and maintenance of compliance documentation and reports
Curriculum and Training Support

Assist senior consultants in developing and reviewing industry-aligned training and assessment materials Contribute to the improvement of training strategies and learning resources
Client Communication

Communicate with clients remotely, providing clear and practical compliance guidance Support clients in preparing for audits, ASQA assessments, and regulatory reviews
Stakeholder Engagement

Assist in maintaining relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and key stakeholders Participate in online meetings and discussions to stay informed about sector updates
Project Support

Contribute to projects related to RTO setup, compliance documentation, and operational improvements Support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple clients
Quality Assurance Support

Learn to support the development and maintenance of quality assurance systems Assist in reviewing assessment tools and strategies to ensure valid competency outcomes
Attributes and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher

Experience:

Any experience in an educational setting or compliance-related role is beneficial

Compliance Knowledge:

Basic understanding of regulatory or vocational education compliance is advantageous (training provided)

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Analytical Skills:

Ability to identify compliance gaps and contribute to problem-solving

Team Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment

Time Management:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Flexibility:

Willingness to work flexible hours to support international clients

Pressure Handling:

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
