Job Description

The Junior Site Engineer (Civil) will assist in execution and supervision of civil construction works at site. The role involves coordinating with contractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance, maintaining site records, and supporting timely project completion as per drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

Assist in daily site activities such as excavation, RCC, masonry, plastering, finishing, and infrastructure works. Supervise contractors and labour to ensure work is executed as per drawings and specifications. Monitor work progress and report daily activities to senior engineers.

2. Quality Control

Ensure materials and workmanship comply with approved standards and specifications. Assist in checking levels, alignment, and dimensions at site. Support QA/QC activities and maintain quality checklists.

3. Drawings & Measurements

Study approved drawings and BOQs before execution. Assist in preparing measurements for billing and verification. Update as-built drawings as instructed.

4. Coordination

Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and site staff for smooth execution. Assist in resolving site issues and technical queries. Support coordination with consultants and client representatives.

5. Safety & Compliance

Ensure safety practices are followed at site. Report unsafe activities and assist in toolbox talks. Ensure site housekeeping and statutory compliance.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily progress reports (DPR). Keep records of material consumption and manpower deployment. Assist in maintaining site registers and records.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering Freshers or 1-2 years of site experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of civil construction practices Ability to read drawings Good communication and coordination skills Basic knowledge of AutoCAD & MS Excel (preferred) Willingness to work at site
