Job Description

A junior civil engineer's duties involve assisting senior engineers with design, planning, and supervision of infrastructure projects like buildings, roads, and bridges. Assisting with design and planning:

Help senior engineers with the design and planning of projects, including preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and using CAD software.

Site supervision and inspections:

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and check adherence to safety and quality standards.

Project support:

Assist with project management tasks, such as preparing schedules, cost estimates, and budgets, and maintaining project documentation.

Quality control:

Perform material testing and quality control checks to ensure all materials and workmanship meet project requirements.

Coordination:

Collaborate with senior engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely project completion.

Technical reporting:

Assist in the preparation of technical reports, including gathering data, performing calculations, and documenting findings.
Other duties

Performing field investigations and gathering data. Coordinating with various teams and ensuring open communication throughout the project lifecycle. Ensuring that projects comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes.
