About Us:

A leading sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting company, seeks a skilled Nesting Designer (Mechanical) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

- Design and optimize nesting layouts for sheet metal parts and components using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Autodesk, SolidWorks)

- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production and minimize material waste

- Develop and implement efficient nesting strategies for laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication processes

- Analyze and troubleshoot nesting design issues and implement corrective actions

- Communicate design intent and manufacturing instructions to production teams

- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in nesting design and sheet metal fabrication

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or related field

- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Autodesk, SolidWorks) and nesting software (e.g., SigmaNEST, NestingWorks)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Decent communication and collaboration skills

- Salary: 15k Take home
