Job Summary:
This role involves the review and analysis of financial information. Review of Payroll Additive balances at regular intervals with a purpose of finding the extraordinary factors responsible for high over-recoveries and under-recoveries. Another critical aspect of this role is performing the maintenance activities of Statutory Ledgers and coordination with the local accounting / audit teams to prepare the financial statements in Oracle. A significant part of this position is identifying opportunities for process improvement and developing innovative solutions. Additionally, process documentation is an essential responsibility. Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliances are key, and taking corrective actions when necessary. This role reports directly to the Global GA Process Support Manager and interfaces with the Global GL Operations Manager, various accounting teams in New Delhi, project accounting teams, and Bechtel offices worldwide.
Major Responsibilities:

• Process improvement' initiatives to simplify the complex processes.
• Preparation of global additive analyses report c) developing desktop procedures for critical activities.
• Collaborate with the technical team (IS&T) to provide solutions to the end users.
• Maintenance of statutory ledgers in the Oracle
• Dealing with ad-hoc requests from global managers for account analysis and reconciliation.
• Assist other team members in executing work between offices.
• Conducts analysis as needed and as directed by supervisors and managers.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field.
• 6 years of total accounting experience. Bechtel experience of 2-3 years would be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of Bechtel accounting and procedures e.g., intercompany accounting, general accounting, intercompany billing, payroll additives, and basic knowledge of CARDS application. (for internal candidates)
• Good analytical skills.
• Experience In transitioning of work.
• Good skill set in the MS Office suite of applications specifically MS Excel.
• Ability to work on Artificial Intelligence models, architectures, and optimization techniques to automate the current manual tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must have accounting experience in a large organization.
• Good Interaction and coordination with the process stakeholders while reviewing the data.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable accounting methods.
• Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment.
• The ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptable to maintain a positive and professional attitude and maintain composure.
• The ideal candidate must be 'self-starter' capable of working independently, taking initiative, identifying, and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence.
• The ideal candidate must possess good organizational skills, the ability to provide constant attention to detail, and can apply quality control of work with tight deadlines.
• Candidate is expected to keep confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position.
