Junior Bridge Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Junior Bridge Engineer

to join our infrastructure or transportation engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, design, analysis, and inspection of bridge structures under the guidance of senior engineers. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in civil or structural engineering and a keen interest in bridge infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the

design and analysis of bridge structures

, including steel, concrete, and prestressed concrete bridges. Support the preparation of

engineering drawings

,

calculations

, and

technical specifications

. Participate in

bridge inspection and condition assessment

tasks. Work with design software such as

AutoCAD

,

MicroStation

,

SAP2000

,

STAAD.Pro

, or

CSI Bridge

. Conduct

site visits

, collect field data, and prepare inspection reports. Ensure compliance with

local, state, and federal codes and standards

(e.g., AASHTO, FHWA). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including roadway engineers, geotechnical engineers, and drafters. Provide support in project documentation, quantity estimates, and cost calculations. Stay current with engineering best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

or

Structural Engineering

from an accredited institution. Diploma In Civil Freshers (Preferred)

Skills:

Knowledge of structural analysis and design principles. Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000, STAAD, MIDAS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

Internship or co-op experience in bridge or structural engineering.
